Interestingly, my first job out of nursing school was at a urban community health center serving low-income Latinos, and I began by doing triage in Spanish and trying to sharpen my assessment skills at the same time! It's a steep learning curve, but you can learn a lot in such a facility. I took a step out year to work in the ICU and decided to move out to the west coast to finish my NP here. Did you like your program overall? What specialty are you going into?
